Examples

If a Windows file type opens with the wrong application, re-select the application with this procedure:

  • run 'regedit'
  • find the key corresponding to the file extension in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\
  • delete it
  • open a file of the appropriate type and re-select the application manually
