Noteworthy Issues
* ASM 37 (1966): Wacky robots of The Robot Master :)
* ASM 48 (1967): Artistically significant "New Vulture" issue
* ASM 68 (1969): Politics and black rights are investigated
* ASM 88-89 (1970): A twist towards the more bizarre, with
Doc Ock's tentacles moving by themselves.
Also, more freaky layout and angles.
#89 has an awesome fight between Spidey and
Ock.
* ASM 91 (1970): Sam Bullit = Richard Nixon?
* ASM 96 (1971): LSD (ASM breaks the Comics Code)
* ASM 100 (1971): Spider-man gains 4 extra arms
* ASM 235 (1982): Monstrous Tarantula
* ASM 252 (1984): The alien suit
* ASM 299 : Venom appears
Artists
* Steve Ditko (ASM 1-38)
not very good, drawings look a bit sloppy
* John Romita Sr. (ASM 39-88,106-)
the classic Spidey artist, produced detailed drawings with
well-defined characters (except for the women, which all
tend to look like the same soap commercial)
* Gil Kane (ASM 89-105)
the characters are a bit poorly defined, but he made some
cool experiments with layout, and his action sequences are
great
* Ross Andru (ASM 125-)
* Todd McFarlane (ASM 298-)
